Description
This aerial view looks down on the Cumberland Street covered bridge, near the S. D. Warren paper mill in Westbrook.
This covered bridge was constructed to replace an earlier bridge that was washed away by high waters on May 7, 1861.
The bridge was again replaced in 1879, that time with an iron bridge which spans the Presumpscot River, and lastly replaced again in 2013.
