George Varney letter from Libby Prison, 1862

George Varney's letter to his mother, Mrs. Eliza Varney regarding his capture and imprisonment, as a prisoner of war, after the Battle of Gaines Mills. Varney also mentions Captain Levi Emerson and Adjutant William S. Mudgett as having been taken prisoner as well.
