Description
This leather fire bucket has a leather handle, with the words "No. 4/I. Nichols/F.F.S./1806" painted on the side along with a death's head (or angel) and a flourish. This fire bucket belonged to the Falmouth Fire Society. This society came to the aid of its members in the event of a fire, and in some cases, reimbursed for damages.
