Description
Nickerson Lake is about five miles from Houlton.
It is about three miles in length, and varies in width from about half to three quarters of a mile.
In 1895, cottages on the north side belonged to Thos. Estabrooke, Albert Page, J. M. Rice, C. C. West, A. Beecher Monson, Geo. H. Gilman, two cottages owned by Nelson Herrin, and a cottage belonging to the estate of Miss M. E. Langley.
On the south side were cottages belonging to H. T. Frisbee, Walter Mansur, Saml Lane and L. O. Ludwig.
