Description

At twilight, two men paddled a canoe on a lake or river, transporting a slain deer, with a hilly landscape in the background. Photographed in Maine in 1906 by John Brooks "Jack" Howard (1875–1971), the original negative was stored in a paper sleeve labeled "Maine Trip 1906."
