Sportsman and photographer John Brooks (Jack) Howard (1875-1971) captured this image of a dirt road traversing a fenced area on the left and a woodland ahead en route from Eastport to Meddybemps Lake, the departure point for a hunting and fishing trip in 1900 or 1901.
The lantern slide was rendered from a celluloid negative.
