Description
Photographers captured Captain William Frye aboard the Sunbeam III with a group of passengers during an event. The Sunbeam III, a 72-foot vessel with a 17 ½-foot beam and a 6-foot draught, was designed by TAMS Inc. of New York and built by Harry G. Marr Shipyard in Damariscotta, Maine. The vessel was in service from 1939 to 1964.
Maine Seacoast Mission has been a trusted friend along the Maine coast since 1905. Rooted in a history of compassionate service and mutual trust, the Mission seeks to strengthen coastal and island communities by educating youth, supporting families, and promoting good health.
