Description

This image of the Sunbeam V at the Frenchboro dock was taken circa 2009 and is framed by trees, buoys, traps, and rope in the foreground. The 74-foot vessel, designed by John W. Gilbert and built by Washburn & Doughty, has been in service since 1995. Powered by a Caterpillar C18 454hp engine, it cruises at 10 knots.

Maine Seacoast Mission has been a trusted friend along the Maine coast since 1905. Rooted in a history of compassionate service and mutual trust, the Mission seeks to strengthen coastal and island communities by educating youth, supporting families, and promoting good health.
