Description
This copyprint depicts Congress Street in Portland, looking east, before the roads were paved. Mechanics' Hall, location of the Maine Charitable Mechanic Association since the 1850s, stands on the lefthand side. The picture was donated to the organization by Richard F. Dole, a Life Member of the MCMA who worked as a mechanical engineer.
