Description
These officers, in front of their motorcycles, were assigned to assist the 17th annual Conference of Governors, from June 29th through July 1st, 1925, at the Poland Springs House. According to the July 29th front page story in the Portland Evening Express, 14 governors, their staff and families arrived by the steamship "Calvin Austin" at the Maine State Pier in Portland. They proceeded to the Poland Springs House for several days of meetings and tours around Maine.
