Description
Joseph A. Locke was president of the Maine Senate in 1880, President of the Senate.
Locke, a Republican, graduated from Bowdoin College in 1865, taught at Portland High School for two years, then studies law with Judge Davis and Hon. J.H. Drammond.
He was a member of the Portland School Committee for three years, then served in the Maine House of Representatives in 1877 and 1879.
