Charlotte Hobbs, Lovell, 1896

Description

Charlotte Hobbs was valedictorian in class of 1896 at the Fryeburg Academy and a 1902 graduate of Wellesley College in Massachusetts.

She returned to Lovell where she taught school, tutored students and became dedicated to the cause of building a library in Lovell.

She helped created drama productions that raised money to construct the library building, which is named for her.
