This photo shows the inside of Nash's Market on upper Weld Street, Dixfield, in the 1950s. Owner Herschel Nash is shown on the right. The gentleman on the left is not identified. Nash's Market originated as a Nation Wide Market in the late 1940s. Herschel operated the market until the late 1960s when his son Douglas assumed ownership. Doug carried on this family owned business until its loss to fire in 1985.

Re-built as Ellis' Variety, this small market continues to serve Dixfield's upper Weld Street neighborhood in 2013.
