Description

A view to the southeast overlooking the western part of Kingfield, about 1895.

The West Branch of the Carrabassett River passes under a bridge in the right foreground.

The large wood drying sheds across the stream are believed to have been part of the lumber yard of the Jenkins and Bogart Manufacturing Company. Still family-owned, this firm is now H.G. Winter & Sons.
