Permission for Capt. Webb to enter hospital, Portland, 1828

Description

W. Goddard wrote from Boston to Capt. Lemuel Moody of Portland, relaying the news that Capt. Webb could enter the Portland City Hospital for a cost not to exceed $6 a week, and that Goddard would provide surety for the bill.

Webb already was at sea when Goddard received the request from Moody for Webb to enter the hospital.
