Description

This 1930 photograph shows Raymond Rowe and James H. Sullivan standing in front of a Cushman's dairy delivery truck outside of Rowe Motors, though the signage still reads "Westbrook Garage."

The Westbrook Garage & Machine Co. began in 1910, at the corner of Main and Speirs Streets, for the buying, selling, and repair of motor vehicles. Westbrook Garage became a Ford dealership in 1921, with David L. Rowe as company president, Raymond B. Rowe, treasurer, and William J. Rowe, manager. The name was changed to Rowe Motor Co. in 1929.

The Rowe Motor Co. moved to it's present location (2013) at 91 Main Street in 1966, and the the name changed to Rowe Ford Sales. Currently, in 2013, they are going through a renovation and expansion.
