Description

This photograph shows the Monson business district decked out in bunting for the Monson Centennial celebration on August 24, 1922. Chairman of the Centennial Committee was F.H. Crane and many events, including a parade, were on the agenda as an estimated 4000 people visited Monson to help celebrate its 100th year. Monson was incorporated as a town by an act of State Legislature on February 8, 1822.
