This photograph of Sullivan Square depicts the store fronts on the downtown area of Berwick around the turn of the century. From left, is a barber shop and two merchandise stores. The building on the right later became Berwick's first Post Office. The log shown being pulled by a team of horses was likely used for a telephone, light or electric pole.
