Description

This photograph shows members of the Tisbury Manor Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) at a summer gathering. The Tisbury Manor Chapter was organized November 5, 1952. The chapter sponsored J.A.C. Clubs, DAR Good Citizenship Awards and American History Essay Contests, held Memorial Services and performed other patriotic events around the Monson area.

The Chapter is active today and held a celebration in 2012 for the 60th anniversary of continuous service. Shown in the photograph seated from left to right are: Eloise Stevens, Ada Wyman, Elena Zuillian, Opal Nelson, Ivy Leighton, Agrandece Pullen, Bernice Young, Priscilla Robinson, Josephine Emanuelson, Edith Jackson, Grace Jackson, unidentified, unidentified and unidentified.
