Description

This photograph is of the St. Andre's school class of 1949 graduating students taught by sister Ste.Bernadette and sister M. Cecille Agnis.

The St. Andre's School was a parochial school where the instructors were brothers and nuns. Before the building of the school in 1901, the Brothers of Sacred Heart were teaching in various houses and in 1904 the Nuns of Presentation de Marie were called to teach and joined the brothers in educating the children. The Andre's School remained in operation until 1992.
