Description
A 40-ton Scotch-type marine boiler is being lowered into the boiler room of the passenger side-wheeler Bay State by an A-frame derrick.
The boiler was one of two in the ship. The Portland company built and installed the boilers and other equipment, such as the engine and various fittings.
