Pulpwood Chute at Silver Lake, Township 26 ED, ca 1955

Pulpwood was sent down this chute into the water at Silver Lake in the spring for transport to the St. Croix Pulp and Paper mill downstream in Baileyville. This picture was taken in the 1950s, and very little evidence of the chute is visible today.
