Description

In 1853 Napoleon Bonaparte Turner Sr. (1824-1896) purchased these buildings and continued on with the manufacturing of wood products. Over the years the factory changed hands many times and manufactured an assortment of items from shovel handles to artificial limbs until it burned in 1967. With this sad occurence ended more than a hundred years of industrial activity on the village mill stream. As of 2015, some of the original buildings still stand.
