Description

This broadside advertises a visit to "Longfellow's Old Home." The Wadsworth-Longfellow house of Portland was a gift of the poet's sister, Anne Longfellow Pierce, to the Maine Historical Society.

The broadside states the house has the "Best Collection of a Poet's Family Belongings on Exhibition in the World."

Henry Wadsworth Longfellow lived in this house on Congress Street as a child and often visited it as an adult.
