Description

Judge Max Pinansky of Portland at a funeral. Pinansky was known for his great humor and just treatment to all. He was sought after as a speaker throughout the state. Born in Massachusetts, he made his career in law in Maine and was the second Jewish judge in Maine.

The Portland Press Herald wrote, "The great cause of religious and racial brotherhood was advanced by the utterances and acts of Max Pinansky."
