Exterior view of the Grange Hall located in Surry. The woman standing in the foreground of the Grange Hall is Helen McGraw - mother of Surry resident Jane Smith.

The Surry Grange Hall was destroyed by fire in 1938. The cause of the fire is unknown. Many have speculated that the fire was caused by a malfunctioning wood stove.
