Indenture agreement between John Foss and John Lewis, 1757

Description

John Foss apprenticed himself to John Lewis of North Yarmouth from May 27, 1757 until September 15, 1763 when John Foss turned 21 years of age. John Lewis promised to teach John Foss to 'read, write and cyper as far as the rule of three...' and to provide his apprentice with proper clothing.
