'Abdu'l-Baha, Green Acre, Eliot

'Abdu'l-Baha, the son of the founder of the Baha'i Faith, Baha'u'llah, visited Green Acre in Eliot, from August 16-22, 1912. Sarah Farmer, the founder of Green Acre, was an early believer in the Baha'i faith and offered up the inn for classes and lectures on religious topics from all religions. 'Abdu'l-Baha gave many lectures while visiting Eliot about the Baha'i Faith.

Eliot residents as well as visitors to Green Acre attended these talks during the summer of 1912.
