Description

This group, the Melody Kings, is playing at a Saco dance barn in 1939.

Between the World Wars local dance bands were tremendously popular in Maine. Oscar Verrier (1905-1996) was a member of Painchaud's Band in Biddeford before forming the Melody Kings.
