Description

Deborah Rogers Chase (1780-1860), a native of West Newbury, Massachusetts, married Samuel Chase of Portland in 1823.

Charles Octavius Cole (1814-1858), a renowned portrait and landscape painter worked in Portland in the 1850s, painted her portrait.
