Description

Eugene T. Ricker, one of the youngest fire chiefs in New England, was not even 27 years old when chosen to be head of the Biddeford Fire Department. He had originally been timekeeper and bookkeeper at the Saco-Lowell Works from 1917 until 1926, when he was elected fire chief.
