Description

Caroline Gilman Redington, born in Waterville, provided the funds to build Gilman/Redington in memory of her parents, Isaac and Elizabeth Gilman Redington. The architest of this cottage was W.E. Mansur of Bangor. This photograph shows I.O. Scott breaking the ground for the cottage.

The text at the top of the photo reads:
"Breaking Ground for Redington-Gilman"

The text at the bottom reads:
