Description
Luther Holman Hale, a daguerreotype photographer, made this portrait of Martha Bush Cleaveland, who was married to Bowdoin College professor Parker Cleaveland.
The couple had eight children and thirteen grandchildren.
Hale worked in Boston from 1845 to 1862.
