HMS Calcutta for Maine Centennial Celebration, Portland, 1922

Description

The HMS Calcutta was launched in 1918 and converted to an anti-aircraft cruiser in 1939. The Calcutta sank, just a few year later, in 1941 off the coast of Egypt. The HMS Calcutta is pictured at the time of the Maine Centennial Celebration in 1920.
