Description

A Hattie Carnegie hat has a label that reads, "Hattie Carnegie, Musketeeer, imported body, made in Austria."

The hat belonged to Anhid Tufankjian of Portland.

Hattie Carnegie was an Austrian immigrant who was a milliner. She started a business in New York that, by 1919, featured Paris fashions and was associated with high fashion.
