Capt. John Blanchard, Randolph, 1847

Description

John Blanchard (1784-1859) of Randolph was a sea captain and served in the Maine Legislature in 1840 and 1841.

He is said to have had the silhouette cut as a joke while he was on the steamer Huntress, returning from a trip to Augusta.
