Description

Artist Thomas F. O'Neil, of 91 Summer St., South Portland, painted local scenes.

He studied art under Portland artist C.F. Kimball and became a member of Kimballs' artist group the Brushians. O'Neil was also a member of the Portland Society of Art.

A steam fitter by trade, he was known as "The Policeman" among the Brushians, who gave members nicknames.
