Description
Wilfred Tremblay composed the music and Ernest Webster Robinson wrote the words for the 1932 celebration of Portland's centennial.
The song begins, "A century of city-hood and two of village life; Three hundred years of glory strewn amid thy beauty, rife."
The piece was dedicated to the "Forest City" of Maine.
The cover features an image of what is now known as Monument Square, but began as Haymarket Square or Market Square. In the center is the Old Market House which was used as Portland's first City Hall, which was built in 1825.
