Description

This is a view of Munjoy Hill in the 1840s. The artist, Charles Quincy Goodhue, drew it from memory in 1895. It appeared within the publication "Mr. Goodhue Remembers Portland" published by the Maine Historic Preservation Commission in 1981.

While many of the images within the publication were from the collections of Maine Historical Society, this particular piece was in private hands at the time of the book's publication. The image presented here is a reproduction from the book, presented with permission from the publisher.
