Description

Joseph B. Reed (1858-1928) served as judge of probate in Portland from 1897-1906.

He was born in Orrington, and was educated at the Maine Wesleyan Seminary in Kents Hill and Bowdoin College.

He served in the Maine House of Representatives in 1905 as a Republican.
