Description

Henry Hill Pierce (1875-1940), son of Lewis and Mary Bellows Hill Pierce of Portland, is at the right rear along with other members of the Portland High School class of 1892.

Pierce graduated from Bowdoin College in 1896. He studied law in New York City and became a lawyer there in 1898. His father was a lawyer in Portland.

After becoming ill in 1923, Pierce moved back to Maine, where he and his wife, Katharine Curtis Pierce, spent about six months of each year.
