Knickerbocker Express, ca. 1938

This record was added to Maine Memory Network through the efforts of a student at William S. Cohen School. More info about student projects.

Description

The Knickerbocker Express serviced cities from Bangor and Bar Harbor to New York, carrying businessmen, tourists, and vacationers. The postcard is postmarked 1938, but the image is probably from the 1910s. Regularly maintained, the same engine could still have been in service.
