Temporary Bridge over the Royal River, North Yarmouth, 1955

Description

The scene of much flooding, this crossing of the Royal River on Route 9 was dredged in the mid 1950s. A temporary bridge was put in place until the job was completed. The river's course was straightened by the channel that was dug.
