Description

An advertisement for the York Bottling Works which appeared in the 1920 Biddeford-Saco City Directory. The company was owned and operated by Julius Cohen, a successful business owner and respected member of Biddeford's thriving Jewish community. Cohen manufactured non-alcoholic ales and sodas, as well as mineral waters. Additionally, York Bottling distributed Kovar and Moxie, plus an array of non-alcoholic beers. They were located at 60-62 Elm Street.
