Josiah Pierce (1827-1913) and his uncle Daniel Pierce (1803-1856) of Orion, Michigan, wrote to Josiah's father (Daniel's brother), Josiah Pierce (1792-1866) of Gorham, about the younger Pierce's visit to his relatives in Michigan.
Josiah describes the countryside and various farm crops.
