Description

R.J. McKee was the proprietor of the Fort Fairfield Exchange Hotel.

Born in Canada, McKee came to the U.S. in 1886 when he was 14. He first worked as a clerk in the hotel, then became the proprietor.

He and his wife, Lettie M. McKee, also from Canada, had one daughter, Florence.
