Description

This postcard, showing the confluence of the Kenduskeag Stream and the Penobscot River, features the Maine Central Drawbridge and Union Station. The drawbridge dates to 1867, but Union Station was a newer addition, built in 1906. The train shed, with the sloped roof, is to the right of the station, and the Bangor Toll Bridge crosses the Penobscot at the upper right of the image.
