Description
A poster depicting a mother with three small children and an image of a grave with the phrase "Our Daddy Died for Democracy -- Won't You Vote For It?" under the image.
The poster was produced by the Suffrage Referendum League of Maine as part of its campaign to get a constitutional amendment passed on Sept. 10, 1917 that would allow women in Maine to vote.
The artist is William Ourcadie, pseudonym for Frederic W. Freeman.
