Brady was the leader of the infamous Brady Gang, which was wanted for multiple robberies and murders. He was shot and killed by FBI agents on Central Street in Bangor on October 12, 1937 when he and his fellow gang members returned to Dakin Sporting Goods store to attempt to purchase a machine gun.
