A portrait of a handsomely dressed woman taken at the Benjamin F. Cole studio at 76 Main Street, Biddeford, circa 1865.

B. F. Cole also shot stereocards and larger cabinet card views of Biddeford and Biddeford Pool, and is credited with most of the earliest photographs of the area.

The cheeks of the woman are hand tinted, and the tintype is still in the thin paper wrapper with the studio stamp on the back side.
